I'm Malik Obi. I run Obi Consulting from Morocco, and I'm the person responsible for your personal data. If you have any question about it, write to hello@obiconsulting.co.

This page explains what I collect, why, who else handles it, and how you can ask me to change or delete it. I've kept it short on purpose.

What I collect, and why

When you book a call. You book through Calendly. I receive your name, email address, the time you chose, and anything you write in the booking form. I use it to schedule the call and to prepare for it.

When you email me. I keep your message and my reply so I can answer you and remember what we discussed.

On the call. Calls happen on Google Meet. I only record a call if you agree at the start of it. If you say no, I don't record. When I do record, I use Fathom, which stores the recording and the transcript or notes made from it. I use them to review what we talked about.

When you visit this site. If you accept analytics, Google Analytics sets cookies and tells me which pages people view, roughly where they are, what device they use, and how they found the site. It does not tell me who you are. If you decline, it doesn't run at all.

My hosting provider, Cloudflare, also handles your IP address and basic request details when you load a page, so it can deliver the site and protect it from abuse.

Who else handles your data

These providers may process data outside Morocco and outside the EU, including in the United States. I don't sell your data and I don't use it for advertising.

Cookies and storage

The site itself sets no cookies. It stores one small note in your browser to remember your analytics choice. If you accept analytics, Google sets cookies named _ga and _ga_ followed by a code. When the booking calendar loads, Calendly may set its own cookies, which are covered by Calendly's privacy policy. You can change your analytics choice any time with "Cookie settings" at the bottom of the page.

How long I keep it

I keep booking details and emails for as long as they're useful for our conversation or my business records. I delete them whenever you ask. Recordings and the notes made from them are deleted when you ask.

Your rights

You can ask me to show you the data I hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop using it. You can also withdraw your consent at any time, for example to a recording. Email me at hello@obiconsulting.co and I'll answer within a month.

If you're in Morocco, you can also contact the CNDP, the national data protection authority. If you're in the European Union, you can contact your local data protection authority.

Changes

If I change how I handle your data, I'll update this page and the date at the top.
